The Holiday Refrigerator/Freezer Door Old Fashioned Recipe

If the term is new to you, it's an all-in-one pre-mixed drink right in the liquor bottle that can be made ahead and left in the freezer or fridge until ready to serve (or just to have a delicious cocktail on hand at all times).

The Math
There are 25.3 ounces are in a 750 ml bottle of spirits.

If you are making a fridge/freezer door cocktail, you just use the original proportions of the cocktail - 3-2-1 - and divide everything into the 25 ounces.

The Beauld Syrup Recipe
This is the magic sauce for this particular recipe (you could just use regular simple syrup, but there is noting regular about this). It takes a little extra work but well worth it. Dissolve 1/4 cup light brown sugar, 1/4 cup of orange marmalade in 1/2 cup of water over low heat. Strain.

The Refrigerator/Freezer Door Old Fashioned Recipe
Start with a 750 ml bottle of AQWSCo Rye Whiskey. Pour off 10 ounces (enjoy as desired :-) . Add 8 ounces of Beau's simple syrup and 2 ounces of good quality bitters (I use Angosturas). When you go to make the cocktail, make sure the top is tight and give the bottle a thorough shake. Pour about 3 1/2 ounces into an old-fashioned glass. Add one big ice cube and top with 1-3 Luxardo cherries along with a little of the syrup.
